This World Cup tournament will be played 2-4 January 2025. The organizers are the Swedish Bandy Association and Tellus Bandy. The tournament will be held the same weekend and in the same arena as World Cup Men 17, Gubbängens indoor arena in Stockholm. A few matches will be played outdoors.

THE HOST CITY STOCKHOLM
Stockholm is Sweden’s capital and largest city as well as the country’s cultural, political, media and economic center. Stockholm is located at the outlet of Mälaren in the Baltic Sea, on the border between the provinces of Södermanland and Uppland. The number of inhabitants within Stockholm municipality is 994 298. Business life in Stockholm is dominated by the services sector. Many of the largest companies in Swedish business have their headquarters located in the Stockholm region. The IT industry is significant. The hospitality industry is growing. After the year 2000, a number of urban development programs were started to accommodate the increasing population with housing. Overview plan 99 points out a large number of development areas, where 60,000 new homes could be created. In the 2020s, areas such as the Norra station area, Lövholmen, Årstafältet, Hornsberg beach and Söderstaden i developing.
Stockholm is also the home city of Hammarby Bandy, which plays in both the men’s and women’s top series Elitserien. Djurgården’s IF plays in the men’s second highest series, the Bandyallsvenskan. On that level is also the women’s club Hammarby Bandyförening.
