SWEDEN WORLD CHAMPION MEN 17!
Sweden won the first final this Sunday when the 3 World Championship tournaments is decided i Uppsala, Sweden. Sweden beat Norway in the final, 4-2 after 2-0 at half time.
Finland and Norway had a fight in to the very last game in the preliminary round. Finland won aganst Norway in their first game 2-1. In the very final game in the preliminary round, Norway had to win with bigger goal different than 2-1. And the Norwegian guys made it wit a bigger margin, 6-3. That made Norway to the opponent to Sweden in the Sunday World Championship final.
Awards to best players in the final. From the left Claes Thunblad Chairman of the Swedish Bandy Federation, Vilgot Johansson Best Forward, Felix Forsström Most Valuable Player and Best Midfielder, Fredrik Mejländer-Larsen Best Goal Keeper, Lars Oliver Norseth Best Defender and Daniel Andersson, General Secretary of the Swedish Bandy Federation.
The 3 tournaments are WCS Men 17, Men 19 and Women 17. Uppsala BoIS is the local organizer for these tournaments in Serwenthallen Indoor Arena, Uppsala.
THE TOURNAMENT 2025
Last season WCS Men 17 was played in Sandviken, Sweden. At that time Sweden won the Championship after a safe victory against Finland, 7-1 in the final game.
