The Netherlands won
the World Championship Women Group B!
The team lived up to the high expectations and won the final against Great Britain 5-3 after 2-1 at half time. There were two outstanding players on the ice, Esther de Jong in Netherlands and Saga Hartley in Great Britain. They also won the best players of the match award.
Switzerland won the bronze medals after a surprisingly easy win against Germany. The win was 3-0 after all goals in the first half.
The Netherlands won the World Championship Women Group B!
Last season, 2025, there was no WCS Women Group B. All teams played in Group A when that tournament was divided in 2 Pools. Netherlands was on top in the Pool B with 6 points ahead of Ukraine 4 points and Germany and Switzerland 1 point each. Netherlands also played a qualification game for the semifinal, but lost to Finland from the A group. The result was 0-8.
