FIB 2025 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WOMEN 17

The FIB 2025 World Championships for Women 17 will be played in Slättbergshallen indoor arena in Trollhättan, Sweden on 21-23 February. Host is the Swedish Bandy Association and organizer Gripen Trollhättan BK.

THE INVITATION TO THIS TOURNAMENT


– Organizing international tournaments such as the World Championship Women 17 is not only important for the development of the sport, but also for giving our young girls an arena to showcase their talent. The Swedish Bandy Association is looking forward to organizing it together with Gripen Trollhättan BK and by investing in women’s and girls’ bandy, we are creating the stars of the future and building a foundation for bandy’s growth. It is a shared responsibility for all of us to keep international bandy alive and give our young players the opportunities they deserve, says Pär Gustafsson, General Secretary of the Swedish Bandy Association.


Gripen Trollhättan BK is looking forward to holding on to the Championship.

– The club is proud to announce that we have had the honor of organizing the World Championship  for Women 17. This is an opportunity for us to showcase girls’ bandy at an international level. It is important to make the already rising women’s and girls’ activities continue to increase in bandy and we look forward to welcoming players, leaders, referees, officials and supporters to Trollhättan and Slättbergshallen, says Jocke Hedqvist, Association developer and coach in Gripen Trollhättan BK.


Trollhättan is situated north of Gothenburg. By car/bus it is 75 km and takes approximately 55 minutes. By train the distance is shorter and only 37 minutes.


Sweden won the tournament 2023. The team beat Norway in the final game 5-2.
