FIB has now sent out an invitation to the FIB Member Associations to submit expressions of interest to host one or more of the FIB tournaments in the 2026-2027 season. This year, it is a shortened process that started with this invitation on Tuesday, 9 September. The process will end in December, before Christmas, with the FIB Executive Committee allocating the tournaments to the national associations that will be hosts. Last day for the Member Associations to send in their interest is 10 October.
Before these decisions are made, the applications will be processed by the FIB Technical Committee, an online meeting will be held with the interested member associations. That is to get their thoughts and ideas on the tournaments. The TC will then submit a proposal to the EC on which association should host each tournament.
