Daniel Andersson has been Chief of Sport at the Swedish Bandy Federation since January. In that position he had a central part in the development of both elite and national team operations. Daniel has a broad experience in bandy, both as a player, leader and federation representative. Now he steps up to the role of General Secretary and will have overall responsibility for the entire organization. Daniel Andersson will continue to be responsible for the Chief of Sport role until further notice.

Daniel Andersson, 41 years old, is a well-known name in Swedish bandy. He began his elite career at the turn of the millennium in Nässjö IF and ended the 2016/2017 bandy season as points league winner for Villa Lidköping BK. During his career, he has represented clubs such as Edsbyns IF and Villa Lidköping BK, won the Swedish Championship gold medal, played professional bandy in Russia and won nine World Championship medals with the national team.
With the appointment of Daniel Andersson, the ambition for Swedish Bandy Federation is a commitment to continuity. His experience as both a player and the internal work creates a stable foundation for meeting future challenges.
