ANTI-DOPING EDUCATION – MANDATORY FROM SEPTEMBER!
The FIB’s Anti-Doping Education Program was launched in 2024 as a pilot initiative, and already in its first year allowed promising results: participants from five countries in the senior World Championship A Group submitted a total of 207 certificates confirming completion of Anti-Doping training.
This result not only reflects the commitment of the Member Associations involved, but also shows that athletes and their support personnel are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of clean sport and prevention.
Building on these positive experiences and in the interest of further developing the sport, the FIB will implement ADEL (or accepted equivalent NADO alternatives) as a compulsory education program initially for all players and support personnel wishing to participate in the senior World Championship A Group, effective from September 2025.
The course can be completed:

ADEL certificate for completed Anti-Doping education.
-
via the national anti-doping organizations, or
-
on the WADA ADEL platform, by completing the International-Level Athletes and Athlete Support Personnel courses.
The FIB’s objective remains clear: to create a competitive environment where victory is achieved through preparation and sportsmanship. Mandatory education plays a key role in this mission.
Further details will soon be provided via email to the relevant Member Associations.
