As usual the greatest interest was on the elections. Especially as the chairman Gisela Stockhaus had announced that she did not intend to stay as chair.

The representatives of the affiliates again elected a woman to the post. Ingrid Hedin-Amrén, 64 years, from Sandviken was elected as new chairman for 1 year. Mrs. Hedin-Amrén is quite unknown to the national bandy audience in Sweden. But she has previously been chairman of the elite club Sandvikens AIK for 4 years. She looks forward to the new assignment with great confidence.

-It feels overwhelming, but it will be really fun,” says the new elected chair. She also has big experience in both politics and business.

-I originally come from the county of Jämtland, so I will first and foremost always be a Jämtlander. But now I have lived in Sandviken for 20 years, so my heart is probably a bit black and white, says the new chair and alludes to the shirt color of the bandy team.

She notes, despite several major challenges, that the conditions are good for coming in and taking over the work of the previous board.

-I have understood that our federation has challenges, but it is very good with the positive spirit that has been reflected here today. The bandy is on its way forward and that is also where we are aiming, concludes the new chairman on SBF website.

The new SBF chairman also believes that her greatest asset in the new role will be the ability to listen.
