Sweden won the World Championship title for men in the final against Finland. The Swedish team won 3-1 efter the same numbers in hal time. The match had a very high pace in the first half as both teams offered world class bandy. The second half was not as dramatic, where Sweden managed to keep the lead for the rest of the match with a great ball possession.

…AND IT WAS 30 YEARS AGO FOR NORWAY!

It is actually 30 years since Norway last won the bronze medals in the World Championships. In 1993, the tournament was decided on home ground in the Vikingskippet (Viking ship) in Hamar and Norway won bronze after Sweden who took gold and Russia who won silver. Finland came fourth that year.

Norway won the bronze medals today after a safe victory against Kazakhstan with 5-1 after 3-1 at half-time. Nikolai Rustad Jensen became Norway’s great hero with 4 of the Norwegian goals.
