2014 FIB WORLD CUP WOMEN

Edsbyn, Sweden, 10-12 October

The Swedish team Kareby defended the World Cup title from last year when the team won the final against Russian Record. The final ended in a draw 3-3 but Kareby won the following penalty shootout.

Kareby won all three games in the group stage. First Söråker 9-0 then Västerås SK 8-0 and also Record 2-1. In the semi final Kareby played against Haparanda Tornio and won 4-1.

The way to the final for Record started with a victory against Skirö AIK 13-1 and then the Norwegian team Nordre Sande 11-0. In the semi final the Russian team beat Sandvikens AIK 3-0.

Haparanda Tornio beat Sandviken in the game for the bronze medals 2-1.
