2009 FIB WORLD CUP WOMEN

Edsbyn, Sweden 16-18 October

This World Cup was played Dina indoor Arena and was won by Record Irkutsk, Russia, who in the final defeated Västerstrands AIK, Sweden 7-1.

In the Round Robin Record beat AIK 5-3 and Helsingfors IFK 13-0 by made a draw against Västerstrand 5-5. In the semi final Record won against Hälsingland 13-0.

Västerstrands way to the final started with wins against Östersund 6-3, Uppsala 3-2 and the draw against Record. Västerstrand played against Härnösand in the semi final and after a 2-2 draw the team won the penalty shootout.

In the game for bronze Hälsingland defeated Härnösand 4-3.
