Here is the 5th tournament in our summer flashback from the season 2025-2026. We give you all FIB tournaments from October 2025 to March 2026. This week we focus on World Championship Women Group B that was played 17-21 March.
The Netherlands
won the World Championship Women Group B!
There were high expectations on the women from the Netherlands. They were big favorites and they surely lived up to expectations! Netherlands won the final against Great Britain, 5-3 after 2-1 at half time. There were two outstanding players on the ice in the final; Esther de Jong in Netherlands and Saga Hartley in Great Britain. Those two also won – Best Players of the Match Award!
Switzerland won the bronze medals after a surprisingly easy win against Germany. The win was 3-0 after all goals in the first half.
