Now the game schedules for the senior tournaments in Uppsala 17-21 March is decided.
9 teams will participate in the 2 tournaments.
World Championship for Men Group B will include 5 teams – Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain, Switzerland and Ukraine. Netherlands won Men Group B last season and the team advanced to Men Group A that was played in Pori, Finland. Netherlands ended up on place 5 in that tournament in January.
World Championship for Women Group B will include 4 teams – Germany, Great Britain, Netherlands and Switzerland. Last season there was no separate Championships for Women Group A and Women Group B. All women’s teams played in the same World Championship in Lidköping, Sweden. But the teams were divided in 2 pools. The Netherlands won the B-pool and got the possibility to advance to the bronze game, but Finland won the qualification game against Netherlands 8-0.
These World Championships Men B and Women B will start the big MARCH BANDY EVENT in Uppsala as 5 World Championships will be arranged during two weeks.
The week after these two senior tournaments, the Youth World Chamopionships with Women 17, Men 17 and Men 19 will be played – In the same arena, in the same city!
The venue is the Serwent indoor arena in Uppsala, Sweden. In total 41 exciting bandy games will be played in the 5 tournaments for 2 weeks!
