FIB 2022 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WOMEN
COMPLETED MARCH 23-27
Sweden and the Netherlands were winners in this World Championships. Sweden defended the World Championship title in Åby, Sweden. The team beat Norway in the final game 12-0 after 6-0 at half time. This was the first time that Norway played World Championship final. Of course, the absence of Russia was of great importance for the outcome of this tournament.
In Group B there were two two debuting nations, the Netherlands and Great Britain. The Netherlands won Group B after a very well done tournament. Netherlands won 4 out of 5 matches. The only loss was against Great Britain in the Round Robin. But the team got real revenge in the group final when the team won in overtime and Golden Goal. Happy goal scorer was Meinke Gommans.
