We have come to part 3 of the Hall of Fame summer series with presentations of FIB current members.
Arne Giving, Norway
This Norwegian legendary bandy leader was inducted into FIB Hall of Fame in 2025. He has been a great leader, both nationally and internationally. He comes from Bærum in the Oslo region of Norway. Stabaek IF was his club in Norway.
He was a board member of the Norwegian Golf Association, and in 2006 he was General manager of Stabæk Football. Giving was President of the Norwegian Bandy Federation 1987-1991. The federation awarded him a Gold medal in 1994 and appointed Arne Giving as an honorary member in 2012.
Arne Giving’s FIB merits:
- Elected to the FIB referee committee from 1983, later chairman of the
committee. - FIB General Secretary for two terms for 12 years, 1989-1997 and 1999-2003.
- Vice President of FIB 1989-91 and 1997-1999.
- He served a total of 20 years for the FIB.
