The FIB Executive Committee (EC) held online meetings recently and among others, made the following significant decisions:
- The EC unanimously resolved to pass a ‘vote of no confidence’ in Henrik Nilsson as President of FIB due to his recent activity. Consequently – to support FIB operations – the EC established a Management Commission with Stein Pedersen as chair, Antti Parviainen and Attila Adamfi.
- The Timetable for 2026/2027 proposed by the Competition Committee was approved, further details already published in a separate news.
- The Kazakhstan Bandy Association has been suspended for significant membership fees debt.
- The EC confirmed the Integration Working Group established by the General Secretary, to evaluate the global environment, coordinate with the relevant stakeholders and submit proposals to the EC regarding the integration of Russian and Belarusian Bandy teams. The Working Group is chaired by Mikhail Entaltsev, members are Henrik Nilsson, Stein Pedersen, Antti Parviainen, Attila Adamfi and Rebecca Draper representing the Athletes.
- The EC agreed to join the International Sports for All Federation (FISpT)
