FIB’s GOVERNANCE IMPROVEMENTS ACKNOWLEDGED BY INDEPENDENT ASSESSMENT!

The Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF) has released the results of its 2025 Governance Review, a comprehensive assessment of governance practices among its members, including FIB.
Conducted with the support of the independent sports governance consultancy I Trust Sport, the review highlights the strong commitment of ARISF members to improving transparency, integrity and accountability in sports governance.
This review follows the previous assessment conducted in 2019 and aims to ensure that International Federations (IFs) are “Olympic ready”.
The Report highlights that FIB is at the higher end of Group B (an improvement from Group C in 2019), with less mark-down than the average representing an accurate self-assessment.
FIB performed creditably compared to other IFs with similar size and evidences demonstrates significant advances since the previous assessment.
Comparing the scores from the assessment in 2019, FIB’s result in 2025 was one of the largest increase among the IFs analysed in both studies.
Attila Adamfi, FIB General Secretary stated:

Attila Adamfi

-I am delighted to acknowledge the excellent results of the ARISF independent governance review. This milestone reflects a clear and tangible improvement in our governance processes: more transparency, stronger accountability, and emphasis on athlete representation, gender balance and term-limits.
-The Report also supports our ongoing improvement efforts by identifying areas that warrant increased focus moving forward.
-I am proud of the commitment shown by our Executive Committee, staff and Member Associations in supporting these reforms. The upward trajectory we see now gives us greater confidence that FIB is fully aligned with the highest standards of good governance and well positioned to serve the global bandy Family and the greater Olympic Movement with integrity and excellence, Attila Adamfi concludes.
