FIB HAS CONCLUDED THE PUBLICATION OF ITS RICH HISTORY!
The FIB concluded the publication of its rich history here on the website in three separate areas:
History of Bandy and FIB
The journey goes from the first signs of a sport with a curved stick and a small ball 2000 years B.C. and via FIB’s foundation until today. The photo: The drawing picture on the tomb wall at Beni Hassan.
Event History
The available documentation of the tournaments from the very first FIB World Championships in 1957 until today includes results, match protocols and statistics. The photo: The first World Champion 1957 – USSR!
The FIB ambition is to gradually supplement the documentation where we lack it. We are more than grateful if information, statistics, stories or images, that you maybe have access to, can supplement our documentation. The further back in history you travel, the more scarce the documentation is, unfortunately. Send to [email protected]
FIB TV
The central platform for live broadcasts and video archive where all tournaments and matches can be seen. With these updates, the complete history, including texts, stories, results, pictures and videos is available from the early days including the recent FIB World Championships and World Cup Club teams.
Kjell Anderstedt, FIB Information Manager stated: -Our rich history is the foundation of our bright future. Bandy has a long story, and FIB’s history spans over 70 years, since its founding in 1955. As we have chosen to put our history online, it will be easy to add and edit, as our clubs and national teams write history year by year.
