Now the bandy season 2024-2025 has started in earnest. We have 2 World Cup tournaments to look forward to and 6 World Championships.
The planning process for FIB, the Swedish Bandy Association and the local organizers is in full swing with the details. There is a lot to be planned. Game schedules must be put together, referees to be appointed, players to be selected to participate, hotels and travels must be booked. But now everything is ongoing.
The nearest upcoming tournaments are the World Cup for club teams Men 17 and 19. The tournament for 17-year-olds is played January 4-6 and for 19-year-olds January 2-4 in Gubbängshallen in Stockholm. Tellus Bandy is the local organizer.
SAIK Bandy is host for World Championship Men 17 and 19 in Göransson indoor arena in Sandviken 16-19 January.
World Championship Women 17 will be played in Slättbergshallen in Trollhätan on 21-23 February with Gripen Trollhättan BK as the organizer.
This year’s international season ends with 3 senior tournaments. World Championship for Men Group B in the indoor Serwent Arena in Uppsala 10-14 March and World Championship for Women and Men Group A in Sparbanken Lidköping Arena 24-30 March.
All tournaments will be webcast live and some senior matches in Lidköping will also be broadcast on the Swedish Television.
