-I am honoured to have been elected as Chair of the FIB Athletes Committee and represent the Athletes at the Executive Committee. I look forward to advocating for Athletes’ interests and working towards the growth and development of our sport, Rebecca stated after her election.

The 5 members committee’s formation and its first meeting represent a progressive step towards ensuring that Athletes’ voices are heard within the FIB, at the highest level.

FIB President, Henrik Nilsson, congratulated the Chair and Vice Chair on their new roles.
-The establishment of the Athletes Committee is a crucial development for our federation. With Rebecca and Gian Luca at the helm, I am confident that the committee will effectively represent the interests of Athletes and contribute to the future success of bandy. We are very happy to welcome Rebecca at the EC, not only as the representative of the Athletes, but also as our second women member as well.

The next steps for the committee include setting an agenda for their upcoming meetings and outlining their strategic priorities for the year ahead. As they embark on this new journey, the entire bandy community eagerly anticipates the positive impact of their work.

In order to support greater transparency in FIB’s operation, the AC meeting minutes are always published after approval under the Athletes Committee.
