1969 FIB WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MEN

The World Championship in 1969 was played in Sweden on 8-16 February. USSR won the tournament, Sweden was second and Finland third. The tournament was initially placed in Norway, but Norway jumped off in protest of the USSR’s actions in Czechoslovakia in 1968, and the tournament was instead placed in Sweden.

The games were played in Katrineholm, Lidköping, Nässjö, Uppsala, Vänersborg and Örebro.
