FIB STRENGTHENS INTERNATIONAL ENGAGEMENT IN THE OLYMPIC CAPITAL!

LAUSANNE, SWITZERLAND.
FIB General Secretary Attila Adamfi represented the Federation of International Bandy (FIB) at the SportAccord Forum in Lausanne, using the occasion to strengthen FIB’s engagement with the international sports and Olympic community and to promote the continued development of bandy.

Prior to the SportAccord Forum, Adamfi attended the General Assembly of the Association of IOC Recognised International Sports Federations (ARISF), representing FIB among the IOC recognised international sports federations.

WORKING GROUP TO UPDATE THE STATUTES
During the General Assembly, ARISF President Raffaele Chiulli announced the establishment of a Working Group tasked with reviewing and updating the organisation’s Statutes. President Chiulli requested Attila Adamfi to lead the Working Group, recognising his experience in international sports governance and federation administration.

STRENGTHEN FIB INTERNATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The SportAccord Forum subsequently provided an important platform for FIB to engage with key stakeholders from across the Olympic Movement. Alongside participating in the Forum programme, Adamfi held a series of meetings with representatives of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and other international sports organisations and stakeholders.

The discussions focused on strengthening FIB’s international relationships, further developing the governance and visibility of the federation, and identifying opportunities to promote the development and recognition of bandy within the international sports community.

-SportAccord provides an excellent opportunity to strengthen our cooperation with the key organisations of the Olympic Movement and to present the potential of bandy as a dynamic, international winter sport. Our meetings in Lausanne were focused on building relationships, improving FIB’s international position and creating further opportunities for the development of our sport, says Attila Adamfi.
