WADA REGIONAL WEBINARS ARE ONGOING

The first week of the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) 2026 Regional Symposium Webinar Series for Europe and Africa concluded last week. Held between 9 and 11 June, the online sessions are designed to support anti-doping organizations and sport stakeholders in preparing for the implementation of the 2027 World Anti-Doping Code and the accompanying International Standards.

During the first week, six live sessions focused on the following key topics:

  • 2027 World Anti-Doping Code
  • Athlete-centered changes to the Code and Standards
  • NADO Operational Independence
  • Code Compliance
  • Intelligence and Investigations
  • Data Protection

The Webinar Series continues this week with four additional sessions:

  • 16 June: International Standard for Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs) and the International Standard for Testing;
  • 17 June: International Standard for Education and the International Standard for Results Management.

WADA’s Regional Symposiums aim to address the unique needs and challenges of stakeholders in the different regions in the lead up to implementation of the 2027 Code and Standards. The events are structured around the Code Implementation Support Program with a strong emphasis on compliance readiness.
