FIB CONGRATULATES BO NYMAN!

Today, FIB pays tribute to a man who has meant a lot to the development of international bandy for many years.  This Sunday, 22 February, Bo Nyman turns 80! He worked as FIB General Secretary since 2007, a position he left in 2022. 

But he has been involved in the sport of bandy a long time before that. The club in his heart is Brobergs IF from Söderhamn. Bo Nyman was also chairman of Broberg for 13 years. Söderhamn is also a city he has lived in for a long time.

A few years ago, he was asked what he was most pleased with during his leadership in international bandy?

-I’m happy that bandy has grown so much and many new countries have been added to the international family. I want us to both continue and develop that job, says Bo Nyman.

That is a development that continued even after Bo Nyman left the ledarship in FIB. The latest nation to join FIB is Italy.

Mr. Nyman celebrates his birthday with children and grandchildren in his cottage in Storhogna in the Jämtland region of Sweden.
