FIB EC MEETING IN PORI WITH A VIEW FOR THE FUTURE

FIB Executive Committee had it’s ordinary meeting on Friday afternoon in Pori Town Hall, during the World Championships. The meeting also included some of the content that is on the agenda for FIB Annual Congress that is held today, Saturday.

The committee members appreciated the warm apparel from KOSA for the continued visits at the outdoor arena.

  • The meeting expressed its appreciation for the Local Organizing Committee under the leadership of Antti Parviainen and also the city of Pori for providing an excellent stage for the World Championships.
  • The meeting reviewed the financial statement and Auditor report to be presented to the Congress.
  • The EC approved the Anti-Doping Committees Terms of Reference and updated Conditions.
  • Following the recommendation of the IOC EB that Russian and Belarusian youth athletes should be allowed to compete in all international youth competitions without additional International Federation (IF) eligibility requirements, the Executive Committee (EC) of the Federation of International Bandy (FIB) carefully considered the matter at its meeting held on 16 January 2026 in Pori, Finland.After thorough deliberation, the FIB EC concluded that the FIB is open to initiating a constructive dialogue with the relevant national bandy federations regarding the participation of youth athletes in future FIB events.
    The FIB remains firmly committed to the fundamental principles of the Olympic Movement and affirms that its Federation is, and will continue to be, open to its members
  • The EC meeting also touched on the strategic discussion to be held in FIB and decided to plan for a summer strategic meeting.

The participating EC members are from the back President Henrik Nilsson, Stein Pedersen, Antti Parviainen and Dawei Wu. On their knees Mikhail Entaltsev, General Secretary Attila Adamfi and Rebecca Draper. Andrew Knutson also participated but had to leave before the photo shooting.
