THE FIRST INVITATION TO THE UPCOMING SEASON!

The last bandy season ended a month ago. The next season is already starting. Well, not really the matches, but the planning process. Today the invitation to the first tournament of the season has been sent out to all FIB Member Associations.

The tournament is World Cup Club teams Youth Men 16. The tournament has been a tradition in Bollnäs, Sweden. It has been

very popular among all participating clubs who have mostly been from Norway, Finland and Sweden. But Bollnäs has now declined to continue organizing the tournament. Villa Lidköping BK won the World Cup tournament in Bollnäs 2024 by winning the final over Edsbyns IF 3-2.

Kronfågel Ice Arena in Katrineholm

Now the Swedish Bandy Association, as the host of the tournament, has instead appointed Katrineholm Bandy as the new organizer. This year’s tournament will be played in Kronfågel Ice Arena. An indoor arena that was inaugurated in 2020. The city is located 146 km southwest of Stockholm. Between the years 1969 and 1974, Katrineholms SK was a dominant club in Swedish bandy. During these years, the club played 4 Swedish gold finals and became Swedish champion 3 times.

Today, FIB has sent out the invitation to FIB Member Associations to this first international tournament for the 2025-2026 season. Deadline for registration is 30 June.
