FIB attends ARISF General Assembly and IF Forum!

The Federation of International Bandy (FIB), represented by General Secretary Attila Adamfi, participated in the General Assembly of the Association of IOC Recognised International Federations (ARISF) and IF Forum in the Olympic Capital. These important events brought together International Sports Federations, aiming to strengthen collaboration and address challenges in the world of sports.

As member of ARISF, FIB continues to globally promote bandy. At the General Assembly, FIB’s participation emphasised the commitment to adhering to international standards and expanding its global footprint.

Celebrating 40th anniversary of ARISF, a commemorative book was presented to members and honoured guests at the General Assembly.

In addition, FIB took part in the IF Forum, a high-level gathering with the main focus of ‘Ensuring your IF is match fit and future-ready’.

While in Lausanne, Adamfi also met with officials from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). These discussions revolved around ensuring FIB’s adherence to anti-doping regulations and exploring future opportunities for bandy in the Olympic program. Meeting with WADA officials was particularly crucial as FIB continues to strengthen its commitment to clean sports and integrity in international competitions.

These events mark another step in FIB’s journey to increase the sport’s global presence while ensuring compliance with international regulations and standards.

Adamfi expressed his optimism about the future of bandy, stating, “Our participation in these key events solidifies FIB’s dedication to promoting bandy worldwide and aligning with the best practices set by the IOC and WADA. We are excited about the opportunities ahead – especially starting our season very soon with youth World Cups for boys and girls – as we work towards greater recognition and growth in the Olympic Movement for our sport.”
