IOC held it’s 142nd session

Ahead of the Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) held its 142nd Session. FIB, as IOC Recognised International Federation was represented by Attila Adamfi, General Secretary.

Beside meeting IOC members, the IOC administration and other International Federations, FIB had a great opportunity to promote bandy as an active member of the Olympic Family.

FIB General Secretary Attila Adamfi together with Ban Ki-Moon, IOC Ethics Commission Chair and former Secretary-General of the United Nations.

The IOC Session made a few significant and historical decisions, including:
– Awarding the inaugural Olympic Esports Games in 2025 to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

– Electing the French Alps as host of 2030 Winter Olympic Games – subject to government guarantees

– Electing Salt Lake City as host of 2034 Winter Olympic Games – subject to respecting full authority of WADA

– Electing 8 new IOC members
